Payment methods
1. General provisions
This page explains the payment methods accepted by Everyday by Roberta (the "Seller") at everydaybyroberta.com (the "Website"). By placing an order, the buyer (the "Customer") accepts the terms described below. Payment transactions are subject to the terms and conditions of the payment service providers and applicable law.
2. Accepted payment methods
The Website accepts payments using the following methods:
- Cards and payment instruments processed via Shopify Payments (where available).
- Payments processed via the MakeCommerce payment gateway for select Baltic countries (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia).
- Other methods displayed at checkout (for example bank transfer, local instant-pay options) where indicated.
3. Shopify Payments
Where Shopify Payments is offered at checkout, card and alternative payment method transactions are processed by Shopify Payments in accordance with Shopify’s terms and applicable law. Shopify Payments may accept major debit and credit card brands and local payment instruments supported in the Customer’s region.
The Customer authorizes the Seller and Shopify Payments to charge the chosen payment method for the total order amount including taxes, shipping fees and other applicable charges. Payment authorization may be required before the order is confirmed.
All refunds for orders paid via Shopify Payments are issued through Shopify Payments and may be subject to processing times set by the payment provider and the Customer’s card issuer.
4. MakeCommerce payment gateway (Baltic countries)
For customers in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia, the Website may offer payments processed by MakeCommerce (MakeCommerce UAB or the relevant local entity, hereinafter "MakeCommerce"). MakeCommerce provides secure payment processing for card payments, local bank links, and other regional payment methods.
When paying via MakeCommerce the Customer is redirected to MakeCommerce’s secure payment environment or presented with a secure embedded payment widget. The Customer’s bank card or local payment details are handled by MakeCommerce and its banking partners in accordance with their security and privacy practices.
The Customer authorizes MakeCommerce to process the payment on behalf of the Seller. Any pre-authorizations, captures, declines or chargebacks follow MakeCommerce’s operational procedures and the relevant card scheme rules.
5. Payment process and order confirmation
- Orders are processed after successful payment authorization. Where applicable, the Seller reserves the right to verify the Customer’s identity and billing information prior to shipment.
- If a payment is declined or cannot be authorized, the Seller will notify the Customer and the order may be cancelled if no alternative payment is provided within the time specified by the Seller.
- Payment receipts and order confirmations will be sent to the email address provided by the Customer at checkout.
6. Security and data protection
The Website uses industry-standard technical and organizational measures to protect payment data. Cardholder data is processed by Shopify Payments and MakeCommerce and is not stored by the Seller except as permitted by the payment providers and applicable law.
Customers must not send full payment card details by email or other insecure channels. The Seller is not responsible for payments processed outside the secure checkout flow or payment provider systems.
7. Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks
Refunds are handled in accordance with the Seller’s returns and refunds policy. When a refund is issued, funds are returned through the original payment method and may take several business days to appear on the Customer’s account depending on the payment provider and the Customer’s bank.
For disputed transactions, the Customer should first contact the Seller to resolve the matter. If a chargeback is initiated through the card issuer, the Seller will cooperate with the payment provider and the relevant card scheme in accordance with applicable rules.
8. Fees and currency
Prices on the Website are displayed in the currency indicated on the Website. The Customer is responsible for any foreign exchange fees or bank charges applied by the Customer’s bank or card issuer. Additional fees applied by payment providers are subject to the providers’ terms.
9. Limitations and liability
The Seller is not liable for delays or errors caused by the payment providers, the Customer’s bank, or internet connectivity issues outside the Seller’s reasonable control. The Seller’s liability for payment processing errors is limited to correcting the error and refunding amounts wrongly charged, subject to the final determination by the payment provider where applicable.
10. Changes to payment methods
The Seller reserves the right to modify or discontinue payment methods offered on the Website at any time. Changes do not affect payments already authorized or orders already placed unless otherwise required by law.
